Default Loss of outbound contact (aka Perma-lag)

Every day or so while I play, once or twice I get hit a wall of lag and can't do anything. My outbound contact quickly degrade to nothing. Anything I type will take 5-10 minutes to show up, if at all.

Movement effects seem to be diffrent between occurences. Sometimes I can move around and be attacked, but cant talk or use skills. Sometimes I rubberband badly and move ahead about an inch a minute. Sometimes I can run around everywhere I want but nothing will attack me, so in that case ALL my movement information is somehow being blocked.

The strangest thing is that I receive information just fine. I can watch my group talk and fight, but if they move out of range of where I'm lagging, they'll stop showing up, like them disapearing after they go out of range of your character.

Another strange thing is that if my group zones to a diffrent area, I will zone with them and the problem will go away entirely once I'm on the other side.

I use Zonealarm pro as a firewall, NAV as anti-virus, Microsoft anti-spyware, and I'm behind a linksys router. No other games give me this problem, heck I can even play other games while this perma-lag spike is going on.

Are there any other people having episodes of this?

Alright, my monk, the only monk in a Glint group just went perma-lagged half way thru, and now my whole group is effed.

Is there ANYONE who can help? I'm going nuts here.
